Why School Emergency Drills are Important    

 

(General Statement)

School emergency drills are important because they prepare you for the real world. They could happen almost anywhere in university, in public, at home or even in Highschool. It’s important because the drills you do at school are refreshing your minds so if it happens anywhere else your ready.If you don’t follow the drills at school you could one possibly die and that would be bad because you are still young and your still at primary school two in the future you would never know what to do if your by yourself or with others. 

 

Why Obeying Lockdown Rules is Important   (sequenced paragraph)

Another reason why you should be quiet is if you giggle the person will hear you and have a higher chance of you dying, why talking to your friends is bad is because it could put you in danger also the person you were talking with is in danger too,  Even if you are 100 percent sure that it is a drill you should still do the right thing because the lockdown doesn’t mean it has to be a human it could be anything Animals / wild fires some examples could be bull broke the fence and started ramming the area, a swarm of hornets (one of the deadliest Bees alive) attacking you or swarming the area or an extremely dangerous dog is let out

    

Firstly, everyone in your house, apartment, school wherever you are, everyone needs to lie down with their face on the ground away from any door or window or any possible areas where you could be seen.  Secondly, Someone needs to lock all the doors and windows so no human or life creatures or whatever is attacking you can not come inside. Thirdly, only open the door to the principal because it is easy to dress up as  a cop or a fireman.Even if you are 100 percent sure it is a practice, still do the right thing because anything could happen at any time.

To sum things up we are gonna talk about why Lockdown is essential to our life. Lockdown is essential to our life because if you follow all the rules, you know what to do then you’ll always know what to do in Lockdown.

R5’s & R6’s Incredible Zoo Trip

 

On Thursday the 4th of August 2022 we went to the zoo for a trip because we were learning about Sustainability. Before we went to the zoo we splitted up into teams so when we heard we had an adult or a teacher to supervise us. The way we got there was on a bus, finally when we got there, zookeepers were there to either guide us, show us directions if we were lost, help us with our knowledge about animals or help us find our adult. The first two people we met were Cat and PJ, PJ took R6 first and Cat took R5. PJ first showed us her indoor shelter area/a domain then after that he showed Burma’s poo we had to put gloves on then we had to touch Burma’s after that we had to put the gloves into bags. Then he told us some more about Sustainability and composting, then our group looked at the Africa Safari Track the animals in that area are:

Lions, Giraffe, Flamingos, Mercats, Nyalas, Rhinoceros, Baboons and more my favorite one are the lions and all of the lions were female

Empowerment

Today in Cybersmart we were learning how to deal with bad comments, messages and reply’s  on social media. Our topic for this term is Smart Relationships  how we type, send messages and even reply to other people. Wen we do any if those things we have to make sure the comment is Positive , Thoughtful and Helpful to whoever we are sending it to.If you don’t like the text or post someone send you, just press the forward button and send it to a teacher or parent or adult you can trust depending on your place. Then don’t reply so your not in the mess, then just leave it up to adult to handle it.
